Philippines says IS-linked militants in Marawi are making 'last stand'
The Philippine army has launched an offensive to flush out the last 40 fighters loyal to so-called Islamic State (IS) from the southern city of Marawi.
The army had previously set a target of October 15 to end the siege in Marawi, but operation has proven more difficult.
The region is a stronghold for the local Maute group, which has pledged allegiance to IS.
