Typhoon Hagibis: Storm biggest to hit Japan in decades

At least 23 people have been killed in Japan as torrential rain and tornado-like winds lash large parts of Japan.

The eye of Typhoon Hagibis - the worst storm to hit the country for 60 years - made landfall shortly before 19:00 local time on Saturday (10:00 GMT), in Izu Peninsula, south-west of Tokyo.

It is now moving out to sea after moving up the eastern coast of Japan's main island, with wind speeds of 225km/h (140mph).
