Watch: Buildings still smouldering in quake-hit Wajima

Two days after a deadly quake shook the country, Japanese rescue teams are now searching through the remains of burned out buildings and crumbling houses to find anyone who might be trapped under the rubble.

The BBC's Jean Mackenzie is in Wajima, one of the worst-hit towns, where buildings are still smouldering.

Japan's prime minister, Fumio Kishida, says the quake has caused numerous casualties and they face a "race against time" to rescue survivors.
