Statue of Kim Jong-il unveiled in North Korea to mark 70th birthday
A giant statue of Kim Jong-il has been unveiled ahead of Thursday's celebrations marking what would have been his 70th birthday.
The 6m bronze statue depicts him riding a horse next to his late father, Kim Il-sung, also on horseback.
The statues were unveiled in a ceremony attended by top military and political officials on Tuesday in the capital, Pyongyang.
