Hong Kong electoral reform report due in Beijing

A report on electoral reform in Hong Kong is due to be presented to the Chinese government.

China has said it will introduce universal suffrage for the 2017 election but wants the final say over who can run. Protesters are calling for the right to nominate candidates.

The report will summarise opinions collected during a public consultation but it is unclear whether or not the protesters' demands will be met.

Juliana Liu reports.
