China 'accuses Canadian couple of spying'

The Chinese authorities have accused a married Canadian couple of stealing state secrets concerning China's military and defence, according to state media.

Kevin and Julia Garratt are under investigation by security agents in the north-eastern city of Dandong, where they ran a coffee shop close to the border with North Korea.

The BBC's Celia Hatton reports from Beijing on the reaction of the Garratt family to the arrest.
