Urbanisation is one of the most important stories of modern China.

The government is building new cities across the country on an epic scale, hoping to turn hundreds of millions of inland farmers into urban workers and consumers to drive the next stage of economic growth.

For the past 10 years, our China Editor Carrie Gracie has reported on the transformation of one rural community, White Horse Village, from a tiny farming community into a huge city.
