Controversial Narendra Modi campaigns hard in Delhi
The controversial Indian politician Narendra Modi has addressed thousands at a campaign launch rally in Delhi, as he seeks to be elected prime minister in 2014.
Mr Modi, the Chief Minister of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has been accused of doing little protect Muslims during communal riots in his home state of Gujarat in 2002, when more than a thousand people were killed- allegations he has always denied.
Some see him as a strong candidate to tackle the country's economic problems and widespread corruption.
Recently, the British government lifted a ten-year ban on the politician that attracted criticism from Muslim campaigners in the UK.
The BBC's Vineet Khare reports from the rally ground in Delhi.
