India rape film director: 'How I got the rapist interview'

A film director has told the BBC how she obtained a controversial interview with an Indian rapist on death row.

Film-maker Leslee Udwin said the female director general of prisons in Delhi had agreed to Ms Udwin's request that she had sent by letter.

The BBC Storyville film features an interview with a man facing the death penalty over the 2012 rape and murder of a student on a bus in Delhi.

In the interview he appears to show no remorse, and instead suggests the victim might have survived if she had not fought back.
