India plans ban on surrogacy services for foreigners

Surrogacy in India is worth an estimated $2bn (£1.3bn) a year. Couples from around the world have flocked here to fulfil their dreams of becoming parents - while many Indian women have offered to carry someone else's child in return for money.

Now India plans to ban surrogate services for foreigners.

Yogita Limaye reports for India Business Report from Anand, the town in Gujarat unofficially dubbed India's surrogacy hub. Here she spoke to surrogates and doctors about the ban. She also met a couple who went through the process and now have a child back in the UK.
