Irom Sharmila: India activist to end 16-year hunger strike

A political activist who has been on a hunger strike for 16 years in north-east India is to end her fast.

Irom Sharmila has been campaigning against a law that provides the Indian army sweeping powers to tackle insurgency in her home state, Manipur.
