India is fast approaching a government imposed deadline to deposit old bank notes. The notes were taken out of circulation over a month ago, a move that has inconvenienced millions of people.

Among them are tourists, many of whom exchanged their money before arriving in the country.

Tourism contributes around 6.3% to India's GDP, so how have the industry and the people visiting India been affected by the cash crunch?
