People could only stare in wonder as a mountain road in Thailand was washed away after heavy rain.

Thai state TV caught the dramatic moment when the main road collapsed in Chiang Rai province.

Heavy rains have affected large areas in the northern regions of Thailand causing flash floods and cutting off remote areas.
