NZ mine rescuers 'planning for all options'
Rescuers at a New Zealand mine where 29 men are missing after an explosion last week are preparing for all eventualities, including possible loss of life.
Police Supt Gary Knowles said rescuers remained optimistic but were planning for all outcomes.
A bore hole is being drilled to the mine shaft to take air samples and funnel laser-imaging equipment and video cameras down to give a clearer picture of the situation.
