New Zealand faces its 'darkest day' after 6.3 quake

A powerful earthquake has struck the city of Christchurch in New Zealand leaving parts of it in ruins.

The 6.3 quake struck in the middle of the day when thousands were at work.

So far 65 people are confirmed dead with hundreds more still trapped in their office buildings.

Prime Minister John Key, has called it New Zealand's "darkest day".
