Lorry drivers protest over Australian carbon tax

Hundreds of lorry and van drivers have surrounded the Australian parliament in the capital Canberra to protest about plans for a tax on carbon emissions.

The demonstrators want the country's minority government to face a vote of no confidence.

The organiser of the convoy Mick Pattel said he wanted to send a clear message to government but the leader of the Australian Greens, Senator Bob Brown dismissed the protest as a "flop."
