Typhoon: Fears for Filipino shanty towns in storm
A powerful typhoon has hit the eastern Philippines bringing with it heavy rain and winds of up to 170km an hour.
Typhoon Nesat is the largest storm to hit the Philippines this year and has forced more than 100,000 people to evacuate.
Heavy downpours prompted the closure of government offices, schools and universities in the capital Manila.
