Queen praises Australia's progress since her visit in 1954

The Queen has praised Australia's 'dramatic' progress since her first visit in 1954.

Speaking at a reception at Parliament House in the capital Canberra, she also spoke of Australia's courage in the face of a 'difficult year' of natural disasters.
