Delivering aid to flood-hit Thai communities

Thailand's prime minister has expressed optimism that the country's worst flooding in a half-century will mostly spare Bangkok.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra urged Bangkok residents to be "confident" saying "we will recover soon".

Some neighbourhood dykes have overflowed, but the city's defences otherwise have held firm during a weekend of critical high tides.
