Japan tsunami: Battling Fukushima radiation one year on

Japanese authorities are continuing their efforts to minimise the threat from radiation, one year after the earthquake and tsunami that crippled the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear reactor.

Parents sent at least 10,000 children away from the area in the aftermath of the disaster, which saw soil, air and water contaminated - and many will still not risk allowing them to return.
