Sydney harbour's floating La Traviata

Verdi's opera, La Traviata, has been staged in many different settings, but Sydney is going one step further with a floating version in its iconic harbour.

The $11m (£7m) production will have a three week run on a massive barge.

It is aimed at widening the appeal of opera.

But, as Duncan Kennedy reports from Sydney, outdoor productions are at the mercy of the weather.
