Japan scraps 2020 Olympic stadium design
The Japanese government has scrapped plans to build a $2bn stadium as the showpiece for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
The original design, by British architect Zaha Hadid, had come under criticism as estimated building costs almost doubled,
The process of selecting a new design will start all over again and means that the new stadium will not be ready in time for the 2019 Rugby World Cup as Rupert Wingfield-Hayes reports.
