Australia unveils tough security laws

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott has announced plans to introduce tougher anti-terrorism laws, including a proposal to revoke the citizenship of those who fight overseas with extremist groups.

Mr Abbott said the government would also move to tackle what he called "hate preachers".

The new proposals come two months after a gunman who claimed to be an Islamic State supporter held 18 people hostage in a cafe in Sydney.
