'Berlin Wall' barriers spark trespassing row

Wealthy residents in Potsdam, close to the German capital, are putting up metal fences and hedges to keep the public away from their luxury homes.

The barriers are blocking a footpath which runs along the southern shore of the Griebnitzsee lake, the site of the old Berlin Wall which used to separate the communist east from the capitalist west.

The homeowners' actions have triggered an acrimonious dispute with neighbours and the authorities.

The BBC's Tristana Moore reports.
