Injuries after Italy rubbish protests

Italian police said three officers were injured breaching a protest blockade to deliver rubbish from Naples to a dump in the nearby town of Terzigno.

Local residents oppose the opening of a second dump site.

A national emergency was declared two years ago when collectors stopped picking up rubbish in Naples because the dumps were full and residents protested against new ones.

Wendy Urquhart reports.
