Archaeological site and museum host historic empire

The southern Spanish archaeological site and museum known as the Madinat Al Zahra, just outside Cordoba, have provided many insights into life on the Iberian peninsula in the 10th century.

Now the modern museum on the site has been nominated for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
