Nato commander on Libya: 'We will see this mission through'

The Commander of Nato's mission in Libya, Lt Gen Charles Bouchard has told the BBC that Col Gaddafi's regime had been crippled, but Nato's mission to protect civilians remained.

In an interview with the BBC's Jonathan Beale he said "we have significantly destroyed his military capacity to the point that he now has no capability to run any offensive."

But he also described the challenges that Nato faced with the Libyan army "shielding themselves and using civilians as human shields".
