Dutch chief rabbi defends kosher slaughter

In December the Dutch parliament is expected to approve a ban on halal and kosher methods of slaughter.

Some groups are claiming it is a violation of their religious freedom.

Chief Rabbi Benjamin Jacobs told BBC News that he believed the traditional Jewish method was better for animals than more modern techniques.
