Austrian ski resorts lacking snow

Some ski resorts in the Austrian Alps have cancelled their season opening weekends because of a lack of snow, after the driest November since the 1920s.

While snow cannons have rescued some resorts, it is still too warm to use them in some areas and resort owners are now concerned about the risk of forest fires.
