French presidential candidate François Hollande launches manifesto

In France, the presidential election campaign is gathering pace. Today Socialist candidate François Hollande is launching his manifesto.

The opposition candidate is riding high in the polls but critics complain they do not know enough about him and his ideas.

This week could prove crucial to Mr Hollande.
