Russian elections: What you need to know

On March 4 Russia will vote to elect a new president for a 6 year term.

The Central Election Commission has registered 5 candidates. Among them the current Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, is hoping to win more than 50% of the votes to avoid a second round.
