'Ash falling like rain' in La Gomera as forest fire rages

Hundreds of people have been evacuated from their homes in La Gomera, in the Canary Islands, as a forest fire continues to rage.

The worst-affected area on La Gomera is Valle Gran Rey.

Road access has been cut by the fire, which has spread with high winds and tinder-dry vegetation.
