Russian Cossacks 'march to Paris'

A group of Russian Cossacks has set off on a symbolic horseback 'march to Paris' to mark the 200th anniversary of the start of their ancestors' pursuit of Napoleon's Grand Army back to the French capital following its defeat at the hands of Russian forces.

The 23 horse-riders will pass through Belarus, Lithuania, Poland, Germany and France before reaching Fontainebleau in Paris on October 19th.
