EU joy as Nobel Peace Prize awarded
The presidents of the EU's three main institutions have collected the Nobel Peace Prize in Norway's capital Oslo.
The EU was awarded the prize for its role in uniting the continent after two world wars.
Nobel committee chairman Thorbjoern Jagland told the audience that the reconciliation between France and Germany was "probably the most dramatic example in history to show that war and conflict can be turned so rapidly into peace and co-operation".
