Swedish environmentalist: 'Wolves are part of our natural heritage'

Sweden has been threatened with legal action by the European Union after it allowed wolf hunting to resume for a limited period.

Hunters have been given two weeks to kill 16 wolves, which the government says will reduce inbreeding, helping to create a sustainable native population.

Environmentalists argue that will not be achieved by killing the animals and inter-breeding with wolves from other countries is needed.

Ann Dahlerus of the Swedish Carnivore Association spoke to the BBC's Matthew Price about why they oppose the cull.
