Cypriot parliament to vote on plans to protect small savers' deposits

Details are emerging from Cyprus of the government's latest plan to ensure that small savers do not end up footing a big bill for bailing out the banks.

The new proposal is that those with less than 20,000 Euros on deposit will pay no levy at all.

Parliament will vote on the plans on Tuesday. The president of Cyprus says he's not optimistic that the measures will be approved.

Mark Lowen reports from Nicosia.
