Spain moves to protect bullfighting tradition
A petition to protect bullfighting by giving it special cultural status is due to be considered by Spain's parliament.
It could see regional bans on the age-old tradition overturned, and more public money going to schools which train young bullfighters.
About 2,000 bullfights are still held every year in Spain, but the numbers are falling.
With fewer people going to fights bull farmers are struggling, and their animals, which are reared to fight, are increasingly being sold for meat.
