Turkey protests: Tear gas fired in new clashes

Violent clashes between anti-government demonstrators and riot police have erupted for a sixth night in Ankara's Kizilay Square.

Police used tear gas and water cannon to disperse protesters after allowing demonstrations to continue for some eight hours.

Activists have demanded the sacking of police chiefs over the violent responses to protests.
