Bingo Brit: 'They gave the biscuits back'

Twenty-one British and Irish holidaymakers have been fined and given suspended prison sentences in Portugal after they were caught playing bingo for prizes including biscuits and drinks.

The country has strict laws against gambling.

Marianne Pittaway, who owns the Yorkshire Tavern in Albufiera, told the Today programme's Evan Davis that undercover police took her and her customers to the police station in riot vans.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Tuesday 25 June 2013.
