French rail crash caused by 'technical fault'

The French rail company SNCF has said a "technical fault" on the track caused Friday's rail crash just south of Paris.

It appears a key piece of metal at a junction point was missing.

The driver has been praised for preventing further casualties by sending up an alert that stopped all train traffic in the area.
