How is Costa Concordia being lifted?

The effort to right the Costa Concordia off the coast of Tuscany is one of the largest salvage operations ever undertaken.

The project has so far cost more than 600m euros ($800m; £500m) and is likely to cost a lot more by the time the operation is complete.
