The Greek island gateway for migrants into Europe

It is almost a month since 366 migrants died trying to get to the Italian island of Lampedusa, putting the focus of European migration policy on Italy.

However, Greece's Lesbos island - the country's third largest, and a place of extraordinary natural beauty - has long been another of Europe's key gateways for migrants.

With Greece in the midst of the worst economic crisis in its history, resources to tackle the influx are stretched.
