Remaining section of Latvia supermarket roof collapses

The collapse of a supermarket in Riga, in which at least 54 people have died, is tantamount to "murder", the Latvian president has said.

On Saturday morning, Andris Berzins told Latvian media the incident was "a large scale murder of many defenceless people", calling for foreign experts to help investigate what happened.

The rest of the structure's roof caved in on Saturday afternoon while recovery teams were working inside.

Damian McGuinness reports from Riga.
