Ukraine protests: Yulia Tymoshenko supports pro-EU rallies with hunger strike

Jailed Ukraine opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko is starting an indefinite hunger strike.

Her daughter Eugenia told BBC News that her mother felt the hunger strike would enable her to show solidarity with with protesters angry with the government for delaying signing a deal with the EU.

President Viktor Yanukovych has defended his decision to delay the deal amid mass protests.
