Ukraine crisis: EU imposes sanctions on Ukraine government
European Union foreign ministers have imposed sanctions on the Ukrainian government following further fatal clashes, the EU's policy chief has confirmed.
Baroness Ashton told reporters that ministers had agreed on targeted sanctions, including the suspension of "export licences for internal repression."
She also said ministers "condemned in the strongest terms all use of violence" but stressed that "the prime responsibility" for a resolution lay with President Yanukovych.
