Ukraine crisis: Protesters maintain presence in Kiev

Opposition protesters in Kiev have maintained their presence in the city centre overnight after it was announced the president had been sacked.

Ukraine's parliament voted on Saturday to remove President Viktor Yanukovych and hold a presidential election on 25 May.

Parliament also freed opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko, who later addressed thousands of people in Independence Square - the focal point of much of the protest.

Simon Clemison reports.
