Crowd defends Lenin statue in eastern Ukraine city

The BBC's Daniel Sandford has said that a crowd of pro-Russian Ukrainians in the eastern city of Kharkiv is defending a statue of Lenin in the main square.

Anti-government protesters in various other Ukrainian cities have already toppled statues of the Russian revolutionary leader.

However, in Russian-speaking Kharviv, many are deeply uncomfortable about the Ukrainian revolutionaries, and want to protect tradition.
