Ukraine crisis: Russia warned over Crimea tension

Any moves by Russia to annex Crimea would close the door to diplomacy, the US has warned, as efforts to ease the stand-off over the region continue.

Warning shots were fired at a team of international observers attempting to enter Crimea, who were turned back for a third time.

The Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) said that no-one was hurt in the incident at Armyansk.

Sarah Rainsford reports from Kiev.
