Russia's President Putin warns Ukraine of 'consequences'

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned Ukraine that there could be "consequences" after commandos, under the control of Kiev, moved on the separatist stronghold of Sloviansk.

Ukrainian officials claim up to five pro-Russian rebels were killed in clashes with government forces in the east of the country.

The interior ministry described them as terrorists and said they died when Ukrainian troops destroyed three illegal checkpoints in the city of Sloviansk.
