OSCE 'hopeful' it can negotiate release of Ukraine hostages

Pro-Russian activists are continuing to hold some 40 people, including seven military observers linked to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) seized last week.

OSCE spokesman Michael Bociurkiw told the BBC's Steven Rosenberg that negotiators had visited the detainees in Sloviansk and found they were in good health.

He said he was "hopeful" about securing their release: "The fact we're able to come back everyday is a very good sign".
